Peter Cheung

Born and raised on the Caribbean island of Aruba, Peter Cheung has spent over a decade operating as one of the premier cycling safety advocates, street organizers, and community ride leaders in the Metro Boston area. Having ridden nearly every square mile of the city, Peter possesses an unmatched, street-level understanding of Boston’s cycling infrastructure, historic roadways, and the high-risk traffic zones that pose constant dangers to vulnerable road users.

At Jeffrey Glassman Injury Lawyers, Peter bridges the gap between active community advocacy and cutting-edge legal video production. Leveraging more than three decades of professional experience as an elite videographer, cinematographer, and editor, Peter captures both the technical and emotional realities of personal injury cases. His lens serves as a powerful investigative tool—filming cinematic case documentaries, documenting crash sites, and helping our legal team visually demonstrate driver liability and insurance fault.

Working alongside renowned advocate Richard Fries, Peter is the co-host and visual architect behind the firm's major street safety and awareness campaigns:

• Anatomy of a Crash: Peter films and co-hosts this vital educational series, reconstructing common collision types—like doorings on Beacon Street, intersection "right hooks," and blind-spot truck turns—to visually educate the public on legal fault and safety physics.
• Dangerous Intersection Audits: Utilizing a custom camera and gimbal rig, Peter conducts physical safety audits of Boston's most notorious corridors (including Mass Ave, Porter Square, and Inman Square) to highlight design flaws that lead to preventable collisions.
• The Ghost Bike Chronicles: Peter documents the stories behind local roadside memorials, capturing the voices of families and advocates demanding municipal infrastructure reform.

Peter’s deep roots in the local bicycle movement allow him to serve as an active ambassador for safe streets. Over the past ten years, he has organized and led many of the region's largest community cycling initiatives, including the Boston Bike Party, Ride for Black Lives, Tour De Streets, Bike-A-Thon, and the Ride of Remembrance. He also regularly collaborates with and leads rides for top local advocacy organizations, including:

In 2015, driven by a profound commitment to street safety, Peter founded the Boston Ghost Bike Project—an all-volunteer initiative dedicated to building and installing white roadside bicycle memorials at the crash sites of fatal cycling accidents. Having personally prepared and placed more than 30 ghost bikes across Metro Boston, Peter’s work provides a sacred space of remembrance for grieving families and serves as an unignorable visual wake-up call to drivers and city planners alike.

Prior to joining Jeffrey Glassman Injury Lawyers, Peter built a diverse, 30-year career as a commercial video professional. His extensive background includes filming, editing, and producing television commercials, corporate brand videos, independent documentaries, and music videos.
